Overview

This forward-thinking program prepares Sri Lankan youth—including school leavers, graduates, and care-experienced children—for the modern workforce. By fusing digital literacy, English proficiency, soft skills, and exposure to AI and sustainability, it supports participants on their paths to meaningful careers and safe migration.

Objectives & Approach

The initiative aims to:
- Build employability through teamwork, leadership, and communication
- Introduce AI, robotics, and digital tools to inspire next-gen careers
- Promote women in STEM through mentorship and exposure
- Strengthen English and IT skills for global competitiveness
- Support care-experienced youth in career and life planning
- Offer cultural training and pre-departure migration readiness

Challenges & Solutions

Barriers such as limited access to technology, rural isolation, and gender bias in STEM are addressed through free training, inclusive mentorship, and virtual learning platforms.

Impact

• Over 500 youth reached through digital and in-person workshops
• 60% female participation, with strong STEM engagement
• Ongoing partnerships with Australian and global employers

What’s Next

Expanding outreach to more rural districts and introducing blockchain-based credentialing for global job readiness.

Charity Component

Funds raised provide no-cost training, digital access, and mentorship to underserved youth, with a focus on young women and marginalized communities.
